It shows that the tubes can be held together to make a secure bundle and that the bundle can rest on the bottom of the water vessel (he uses the fact that the middle pipes stick out the bottom to allow water to enter the magic inner circle of good vibrations.

    (I’m not much of a craftsman so I like the fact that I can just tie all these guys together!)
